How To Join A Server Faster / SOMETIMES Fixes Crashing.

If you are having problems such as:

•Crashing when you join a server
•Crashing when opening a point shop
•Crashing when you see a certain model

There is a way that will MOST LIKELY fix your errors. Works flawlessly for most people!

Step 1: Go to the main menu of Garry's Mod
Step 2: Click "Options"
Step 3: Click the "Multiplayer" tab
Step 4: On the pull down list that says something like "Allow all custom files" click that and select the optain that "Allows map files only"
Step 5: Join a server and you are all set!

What This Does : Selecting the option to only download map files from a server will keep the server from downloading any files you do not have. This WILL cause all addons you do not have to appear as errors, but the files you do have will appear fine. This is the easiest and most simple way to join a game faster if you want to try a Gamemode for the first time and don't want to download the addons unless it looks good. This will most likely prevent any crashes you will get whilst joining a server. It has worked for me in the past, and has worked for many others as well.
